§ 18.400. COMMON STATION COORDINATE SYSTEM

When a common station/control station coordinate system becomes available within the City of Kotzebue, all survey work performed within the City shall be required to conform to such common station/control station coordinate system in order to describe, through a common datum, the positions of points on, above or under the surface of the Earth, to perpetuate said positions in a convenient format, to standardize the location of objects, points and other entities and to facilitate future survey retracement of land boundaries.
