§ 13.04.230. Installation regulations and requirements.
A.
The city council, after public hearing may establish regulations for the installation of domestic fixtures connected to the water and sewage systems, water and sewer customer service lines and all related appurtenances as needed to assure the safe utilization of the water and sewer systems.

Prior to working in, on or around the city's water and sewage systems, any person, entity or corporation shall call the city's public works director for the location of the city's water and sewage systems in the area to be worked upon. Any person, entity or corporation working in, on or around the city's water and sewage systems shall be completely liable for any damages done to the city's water and sewage systems.
C.
Any public or private contractor working in, on or around the city's water and sewage systems shall be licensed, bonded and insured such that any damages done to the city's water and sewage systems by such work will be covered by the appropriate bonds and/or insurance.
D.
This section of the code shall be specifically referenced in all construction contracts, including invitations to bid and pre-bid documents, and shall be deemed a part of all construction contracts for work done within the city limits.
