§ 3.20.520. Repealer and savings clause.

The effective date of this chapter is the date set in Ordinance No. 04-10. The pre-existing Chapter 20 of Title 3 of the Kotzebue Municipal Code shall continue in full force and effect until the ordinance codified in this chapter becomes effective, at which time the pre-existing Chapter 20 of Title 3 of the Kotzebue Municipal Code shall be repealed. All future duties and obligations thereafter arising under the pre-existing Chapter 20 of Title 3 of the Kotzebue Municipal Code shall cease, but liability for taxes, penalties, interest, costs and fees and liability for violations of the pre-existing Chapter 20 of Title 3 of the Kotzebue Municipal Code, as of the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter, are preserved and continue unaffected by the ordinance codified in this chapter.
